Why a broken flyer link is worse than it sounds

A broken link on a digital page costs you one visitor. A broken link on 5,000 printed flyers costs you every visitor who ever picks one up — plus the reprint bill. Flyers are distributed at events, mailed to homes, and posted in windows for weeks. There is no "quick fix" once they are printed.

The most common failure mode is not a URL that was never working — it is a URL that worked fine at design time and broke before distribution. A domain expired, a Squarespace page was archived, a short URL service changed its redirect, or an SSL certificate lapsed. None of these show up when you just scan the QR code on your laptop.
